Yüzyılın İzdüşümü
This installation is a special work made in honour of the centenary of the Republic of Türkiye. Telling the history of the Republic through light, it brings emotion and technology together and takes visitors on a striking journey from the country's roots to the present day.
At the centre of the museum stands the kinetic Turkish flag we designed and built. Clad in mirrored surfaces, the flag enters into a dynamic exchange with the surrounding light and video content.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
“Yüzyılın İzdüşümü” (Projection of the Century) is a special kinetic installation made in honour of the centenary of the Republic of Türkiye. It joins a historical narrative reaching from the past to the present with light, movement and technology.
Positioned at the centre of the museum, the kinetic Turkish flag finds its form through the synchronised movement of thousands of modules made of mirrored surfaces. Interacting with the video projections around it and with the sound and lighting design, it continuously alters the atmosphere of the space.
The installation takes visitors on a journey through time, from the founding of the Republic to the present day. Reading the traces of the past in a contemporary language, it stirs a strong sense of belonging and inspiration in the viewer.
